The next Max Battle Weekend in Pokémon GO is about to bring a massive challenge— Dynamax Suicune's debut. It is a legendary Water-type Pokémon from Johto that brings battles, event bonuses, and shiny chances. It will give the trainers a limited-time opportunity to battle and catch the Pokémon. Whether you are raiding with friends or are hunting for rare rewards, here is a breakdown of some strategies, tips, and more to maximize your chances of dominating the event.

How to catch Dynamax Suicune in Pokemon GO?

The Pokémon will appear in the five-star Max Raids during the event running between May 5 and May 11, 2025. Unlike the regular raids, the battles here require Max Particles. So, stock up in advance. Suicune Dynamax is a pure Water-type Pokémon that is weaker than the Electric and Grass moves. So, bring along Magnezone, Zekrom, Zeraora, Tangrowth, or Roserade for the best results.

Note: Give priority to the damage moves like Solar Beam or Thunderbolt, and avoid the use of Ground or Fire types Pokémon that will crumble against the Dynamax Suicune’s hydro pumps.
During the event, the shiny hunters will have the chance to catch Suicune’s shiny variant. The catch rate is not guaranteed, so repeated raids might increase your chances. You can also use Golden Razz Berries or aim for the Excellent Curveball Throws to boost your odds. Team up with the other trainers through Campfire to ensure a victory.
